Semester Conservation Apprenticeships
Fall Semester Conservation Apprenticeships start September 21, 2013 and run through February 1, 2014. Spring Semester of 2014 runs February 8th - June 14th. 1. The Part-Time Semester of Herbal Medicine & Ethno-Botany is an Herbology Apprenticeship with an ethic of plant conservation, and may be repeated for an additional semester to earn an Ethnobotanist Certification. No prerequisite.

2. The Part-Time Semester of Wildlife Tracking & Ethno-Zoology is an Animal Research Apprenticeship with an ethic of bird, mammal, insect, arachnid, reptile, amphibian, arthropod, fish and game conservation, and may be repeated for an additional semester to earn an Ethnozoologist Certification. No prerequisite.

3. The Full-Time Semester of Nature Immersion & Ethno-Ecology is an Naturalist Apprenticeship with an ethic of habitat conservation that combines the two part-time apprenticeships above with additional flexibility to focus on your favorite areas of interest, and may be repeated for an additional semester to earn an Ethnoecologist Certification. No prerequisite.

4. The Full-Time Semester of Sustainable Living & Self-Sufficiency is a Permaculture Apprenticeship with an ethic of energy conservation, and may be repeated for an additional semester to earn a Sustainability Specialist Certification. This full-time apprenticeship is offered at the part-time price due to the significant amount of on-site work at Blue Skye Farm, and please note that you will need a place to live within walking, biking or public transportation distance from the farm.
